Texas drug laws, history of drug use, and an introduction to the stages of change framework.
Drugs & the Body
How substances affect the brain and central nervous system. The change ruler. Continuing the stages of change.
Abuse & Addiction
Addiction as a brain chemistry condition. Signs, symptoms, and the path through dependence.
Society & Drugs
Motivations, intimacy and substance use, and how drug use shapes relationships and community.
Change & Final Exam
Values work, recovery, and your personal action plan. The final exam is administered on Day 5 (70% to pass).
